The research in our laboratory is focused on finding the answers to these questions. We study the molecular properties of the proteins and protein complexes at the different stages of cell-cycle and cell responce to particular stimuli. Our goals are to
- explore the molecular mechanisms controlling the dynamics of cell-cycle and cell response,
- understand how post-translational modifications of the proteins influence their sub-cellular localization and interacting partners.
- find how the presence or absence of the modifications on proteins may lead to the phenotype of the diseased state of the cell.
- sub-cellular localization,
- composition of protein complexes,
- abundances of post-translational modifications
The results of our research contribute to understanding the fundamental principles underlying development of cells in the organism and causes of the diseases originated from broken mechanism of the cell-cycle or cellular response. Recognizing these diseases and finding cure to them are our ultimate goals.
